What to wear to The Metrograph, NYC
What to wear
Dark, considered layers. A worn-in black leather jacket over a ribbed knit, or a heavy wool trouser with a quiet loafer. Nothing that announces itself — just pieces that look like you've had them long enough to stop thinking about them.
Dress code: casual creative
Tristan reads the room
How it reads
A room that treats going to the movies like a minor intellectual commitment. The bar downstairs holds the same energy — dim, unhurried, built for people who showed up with opinions.
When it peaks
A Wednesday after a 7pm screening, when the bar fills with people nursing negronis and arguing about the third act. The weekend crowd tries harder and gets less out of it.
See it on your closet.
